Located in a small town in Indiana, this funeral home served it's purpose for funeral visitation in the mid 1930's. The funeral home is famous for it's showing of infamous outlaw, James Jenkins.
Jenkins, former cell-mate of Indiana's own, John H Dillinger was shot and killed in Beanblossom Indiana after escaping the Michigan City prison. The escape was to be pronounced the largest escape from an Indiana prison.
Jenkin's body was brought back to Bedford, his hometown in Sept 1933, only to create a hail of vistors that numbers in the eight thousands. The viewing of the body was at the Roach Funeral home.
The funeral home still stands to this day. It now bears the name "Mac's Small Engine."The top part of the building is being rented as apartments.
